Hologram Generation Algorithms

Introduction

The first step for using digital holograms is the generation process.

This project aims to expand on the existing approaches using the embedded electronics and computer science expertise of the group in partnership with the University of Cambridge Maths Department

Existing Approaches

There are four main approaches for doing this. Three of them are Gerchberg-Saxton, Direct Search and Simulated Annealing. The fourth approach is known as One-Step Phase-Retrieval and was developed within the CMMPE.
