CMMPE Building and Office Facilities

Built in 2006, the CAPE building is a modern laboratory and office facility. Located on the West Cambridge site, just off the Madingley Road, it is easily accessible by car (junction 13 of the M11), bus (Citi and Uni 4 services) and only a short taxi ride away from Cambridge train station. It also has ample parking and full disabled access.

The building is divided into two sections; offices and laboratories. The office area consists of a combination of large open plan areas and smaller private offices. The building is served by its own mechanical workshop and IT support. The entire top floor is also dedicated to a large clean-room facility, which can be used by all research groups within the division.

In the centre of the building, there is a large atrium with a relaxed seating area and a coffee shop selling hot and cold drinks and sandwiches. Weekly seminars are also held in the atrium, and the building has other bookable meeting rooms of various sizes, ranging from small rooms for tutorials/supervisions, to rooms for seminars and larger meetings.
