Nikos BAMIEDAKIS joined the Group in 2004 to study for a PhD in 'Board-level Optical Interconnects'. Prior to joining CPS he attended National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and received a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering (5 year degree).

Nikos received his PhD in 2008 and since then, he has continued his research work as a Research Associate within the group, working on the integration of polymer optical waveguides onto PCBs and his other research interests are in optical sensors.

Nikos received a Cambridge Blue for Basketball.
