Background/Overview
The purpose of 'Exposition' is to develop our students' skills in communication on professional subjects, both oral and written.
Engineers often have to involve many other people in order to get things done. This requires communication not by, say, using engineering drawings to explain something to a colleague, but by persuading 'the Board of Directors' to support a project. One might describe the skills required as the 3R's: "reading, writing and rhetoric". By developing these skills students will gain confidence and the ability to take a lead as an engineer.
