Nanoscience on the move…
The
Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) in Nanotechnology funded by EPSRC,
BBSRC, MRC and the MoD as a collaboration between the University of Cambridge,
University College London and the University of Bristol is now operational.
A new building to house the group is nearing completion on the University's
West Cambridge Site, and Professor Mark Welland will be moving his Nanoscience
group to the new facility on its completion.
The new building will provide facilities for the fabrication and characterisation of nano-structures (e.g. devices down to the size of a single atom or molecule), and a significant proportion of the Cambridge based IRC activities will take place in the new building.
