New Master for Jesus College

Professor Robert Mair was elected Master of Jesus College in February 2001.

He was appointed Professor of Geotechnical Engineering in October 1998, and is currently Head of the Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Division of the Engineering Department, having succeeded Professor Andrew Schofield as Head of the Geotechnical Group. He was a Fellow of St John's College from 1998 to 2001 and is one of the founding Directors of the Geotechnical Consulting Group (GCG), an international consulting company based in London and started in 1983.
