Visits

Approximately 8 visits will be organised each year to sites of engineering interest, these are usually half day visits which happen on Wednesday afternoons, but full day trips can also be arranged at the end of term. The main responsibility of a visits secretary is to liaise with companies and engineers from a wide range of disciplines to allow our members a good mix of places to see. This is a fun and rewarding experience as you not only gain practical knowledge about what you've learned in the tripos, but also a huge sense of satisfaction accompanying a successful visit. Good organisational and communication skills will help, but enthusiam can overcome all difficulties!
