Dr Enrico Gili is a Research Associate within the Cavendish Laboratory, where he is a member of the Optoelectronics Group. He works on the development of a novel technology to enable high resolution Ink-jet printing of short channel Organic Thin Film Transistors. This technology will be applied to fabricate high-performance and low cost electronic circuits on flexible substrates. Enrico obtained a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton for his work on silicon-based Vertical MOSFETs. Prior to joining Cambridge University, he worked for Innos Ltd. (now Polymer Vision Ltd.) on silicon microfabrication (microelectronics and MEMS) and for Atmel Corporation on process development for Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs).

Research Interests

- Fabrication and characterization of Ink-jet printed Organic Thin Film Transistors
- Fabrication of organic electronic circuits on flexible substrates by solution-based printing
- Ink-jet printing of functional materials on flexible substrates
