A Chemical Engineer by training, Barry spent most of his industrial career in Operations and Manufacturing Management roles with several “Blue Chip” companies, before working for himself. Barry joined R&D company Plasma Quest as a co-director with founder Mike Thwaites in 1999. The primary objectives of this association were to develop the business management, exploitation and other commercial aspects of PQL’s novel thin film deposition technology, thus enabling the PQL scientists to concentrate on PQL’s core competences in scientific research.
